The Child in Tantrum

Fear can sometimes be described as the child in tantrum.
We cannot fight the child when he is going crazy like this,
as it would only make him worse.
We cannot desert the child because he needs our guidance and support.
The best we can do is embrace the child, and hold it gently, and love it, love it, love it.
How does one embrace a small tornado?
CALMLY... with great Courage and Trust.

Great perspective on fear, Sun!
Hope you are having a great day!
You said: The best we can do is embrace the child, and hold it gently, and love it, love it, love it.
I couldn't agree more. I think when we perceive our inner selves as children, we are able to be gentler with ourseves, especially around our fears. I'm as guilty as anyone else of chiding myself or treating myself badly when I find myself having difficulty facing something difficult. I add insult to injury by bashing myself, verbally, for being so 'stupid or fearful or lazy' or whatever else I can think of to batter myself with. I really appreciated reading this today, since I've been on a 'who do you think you are' kick lately.
I think I'm a child of the universe. I think I'm good enough. I think I'm worthy.
Thank you for the reminder to love myself.
Much wisdom in this, very well said. Hugs.
More great wisdom channeled to us from your loving heart, and it reads

As I move further along my path of enlightenment, I find that things that looked so complicated before, are really very simple. Like this example you have provided. Thank you.
