Spirituality vs. Enlightenment

It is possible to be spiritual without being enlightened, a dangerous phenomenon, but true.
I have met countless spiritual people in my time. They are aware of their Godly position and connection--they understand creativity, love, compassion, forgiveness, and living in the moment. They understand esoteric teachings, mind over matter, and the power of respect and humbleness. They display the generous game quite well.
But being enlightened is different, for to be truly in the light, the spiritual one makes a moment to moment effort to spread Virtue through their actions. Their behavior is impeccable, for this moment to moment viewing of one's actions keeps them conscious of how they treat others.
To be enlightened is to be in the moment EVERY MOMENT--something few of us have--and honoring each moment by honoring ALL HUMANS in our presence, continuously. When it is time for us to be alone, we honor each moment by honoring our bodies with nourishing foods only--it is an insult to allow toxic treats into our bloodstream--and honoring our lives with physical and mental exercise, including meditation.
(The T.V. is a toxic barrier between ourselves and our enlightenment, because it is controlled by very unaware humans. However, movies are artisitc creations and an excellent treat.)
Watch Actions, and take care when you are allured by the "spiritual ones."

Excellent! I agree 100% Sun! Thank you for this blog!
Yeah, me too - I'm with that. You hit the nail on the head.
Simply put and quite true! I would like to stress this sentence in particular
To be enlightened is to be in the moment EVERY MOMENT–something few of us have–and honoring each moment by honoring ALL HUMANS in our presence, continuously.
If I may add, ALL BEINGS to also include all of nature.
Your title “Spirituality vs. Enlightenment” says it all.
Thank you.
It is a reminder. To be enlightened is a consciousness, and awareness, a deep intuitive reminder of our noble mission and destiny. This consciousness can be lost and regained. Staying the course is the joy and the challenge.
